Account Deletion
Effective date: August 19, 2026
You can ask us to delete your Decly account and its associated data at any time. Decly does not currently offer a self-service delete button in the app, so requests are submitted here and handled by our team.
What gets deleted
- Your Decly account and sign-in record.
- Your display name and profile records.
- Your saved history, favorites, settings and progress.
- Your Family & Groups memberships, groups you own, and the profile and favorite snapshots you shared with groups.
- Support and feedback messages linked to your account, where practical.
What may be retained
Information we are legally or financially required to keep — such as payment, invoice and tax records associated with a membership or donation — may be retained for as long as the law requires. Residual copies may also persist briefly in routine backups before they expire. Aggregated or de-identified usage counts that cannot identify you may be kept.
How long it takes
Deletion is processed manually by the Decly team. It is not instantaneous. We aim to complete requests within a few business days and will email you a confirmation when your account has been deleted.
Before you request deletion
- Deleting your account is permanent. Your history, favorites and profiles cannot be recovered afterwards.
- If you have an active membership, cancel it first or let us know — cancelling a membership does not delete your account, and deleting your account does not automatically issue a refund for the current period.
- If you own a group, the group and anything shared into it will be removed for everyone in it.
